Objectives

Welcome to the Department of Microbiology, where we investigate into the intricate world of microorganisms and their profound impact on health and disease.

Our objectives encompass:

Equipping students with a robust understanding of bacteriology, virology, mycology, immunology, and parasitology. Exploring pathogenic microorganisms, their characteristics, transmission, prevention, and control of diseases prevalent in the country.
Enabling learners to master clinical sample collection, transportation, diagnostic techniques, and result interpretation. Fostering skills in handling basic microbiological equipment, result documentation, data analysis, and dispatch of the results.
