Our department is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care, advancing medical knowledge, and serving our community.

The Department is committed to the following objectives:

  • Comprehensive Patient Care: We specialize in handling a wide range of cases, including tympanic membrane perforation, hearing problems, ear tumors, nasal polyps, nasal allergies, voice disorders, tonsillar infections, and the removal of foreign bodies from the nose, ear, and throat. We also diagnose and treat conditions such as oral cancers, nasal tumors, thyroid swellings, and other neck-related conditions..
  • Tertiary Medical Institution: We are a tertiary medical institution serving rural patients. Our aim is to provide specialized care and advanced treatments to rural communities, ensuring they have access to the same high-quality healthcare as urban areas.
  • Audiology and Speech Therapy: We perform various hearing assessments like Pure Tone Audiometry, Impedance Audiometry, and Brainstem Evoked Response Audiometry (BERA) in our audiology setup. Additionally, we provide speech therapy for various speech disorders, including stuttering, stammering, post-laryngectomy rehabilitation, and voice analysis.
  • Emergency Services: We offer emergency services for conditions such as nasal bleeding and the removal of foreign bodies from the nose, ear, and throat. Our well prepared team is available to address critical medical situations promptly.

Facilities


Our department offers a range of facilities, including:

  • Fully Equipped O.P.D.:Our Outpatient Department is fully equipped with patient- friendly doctors and staff who are dedicated to providing quality care.
  • Audiology Room: We have a soundproof audiology room with equipment for Pure Tone Audiometry, Impedance Audiometry, BERA, and Play Audiometry.
  • Temporal Bone Dissection Laboratory:This specialized lab supports training in ear surgeries and related procedures.
  • Departmental Library: Our library is well-stocked with standard reference books and journals, ensuring our team stays updated with the latest medical advancements.
  • Seminar Room: Equipped with a projector, this room is used for educational activities and seminars.
  • Aseptic Minor OT Complex: This complex is equipped for minor surgical procedures.
  • Fully Equipped O.T. Complex: Our main operation theatre complex is fully equipped with instruments for a wide range of surgeries, including microscopic ear surgeries, nasal endoscopy, micro-laryngoscopy, septoplasty, endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy, tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, functional endoscopic sinus surgery, and tracheostomy.

Departmental Activities



Our department is actively involved in a variety of activities, including:

  • OPD, IPD, and Day Care Facility: We provide ENT outpatient, inpatient, and intensive care services to address the diverse medical needs of our patients. Patients who require same-day medical attention benefit from our day care facility.
  • Specialty Clinics: We run several specialty clinics, including otology, cancer-related clinics, vertigo clinics, rhinology, laryngology, and speech disorder clinics.
  • Audiometry: Hearing assessments, including Pure Tone Audiometry, Impedance Audiometry, and BERA, are available.
  • Speech Therapy: We offer speech therapy services for various speech disorders.

Outreach Activities


To extend our services beyond the hospital, we actively participate in outreach programs, including monthly health camps and periodic school visits. These activities are designed to enhance the health and well-being of the communities we serve.
